GCSE results at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen

This year’s year 11 cohort have been exemplary in their achievements and attitude towards learning throughout their time at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen.  Headteacher Mr Dafydd Jones has been very positive in his praise of the pupils:  “This year 11 cohort have been a wonderful group of individuals who have worked diligently and applied themselves positively during their time at the school, and it has been a pleasure to have them as members at the school.  We congratulate them on their excellent GCSE results which reflect their performance throughout their time at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen.  I would like to thank the parents and carers, the staff and the school’s extended community for their hard work in offering support and opportunities to these pupils; this has enabled them to achieve so very well.  Consistently, their level of achievement has been exceptionally high, and we’re very pleased to see the vast majority returning to Ysgol Bro Hyddgen to study in the sixth form.  We’re also very pleased there is a significant number joining the sixth form from other local schools leading to Bro Hyddgen sixth form being one of the largest sixth forms in Powys.  I’m wishing all the pupils well, including the pupils who will be remaining at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, and those going on to further education elsewhere or being apprentices – as a school, we are very proud of you all”.
