World Book Day

As part of our World Book Day celebrations on Thursday 7 March, many interesting characters appeared on the Primary Campus as pupils dressed up as a favourite book character. In addition, Malachy Doyle visited the school and held writing workshops with pupils in the Junior Department. There was an opportunity to ask the popular author questions about his work as well as enjoy listening to Malachy reading some of his stories.  In the Foundation Phase, the performer Cêt Haf and author and illustrator Felicity Elena Haf came to hold a workshop based on the book Begw Haf. The children were delighted to see the character alive before their eyes. Thank you to Diane Bailey from Penrallt Bookshop for holding a stall with a variety of books for sale so that pupils can buy a book of their choice. A very memorable World Book Day!
