Racing Buggies Workshop

As part of this term’s Science and Technology lessons, Helygen class participated in a workshop at Enginuity museum in Ironbridge on Tuesday 19 March.

This was a fantastic opportunity to use the museum’s expertise and resources to develop the pupils’ science, technology, literacy and numeracy skills. There was also an opportunity to visit the amazing, interactive science and engineering museum.

Working in groups, the pupils decided on a particular theme which fitted the brief, before designing and making their buggies.  Racing the buggies was certainly the highlight, and impressive times were set by each one!

We are very grateful to the school’s PTA, who generously made a donation to help towards the costs.
