On Friday, 12 July, Derwen and Masarnen’s classes set out on their adventure to visit the RNLI station in Aberystwyth and to explore the rock pools on the beach, as part of this term’s expedition.
Following an invitation to travel to Aberystwyth by train, there was a great deal of excitement as the train neared the platform in Machynlleth.
Everyone had an excellent day as they were shown around the RNLI station, listening to exciting stories and fascinating facts.
They then went down to the beach to explore the rock pools to see which creatures they could find hiding in the pools, before changing course and using what they could find on the beach to create their own sea creatures. Some groups were very creative!
It was a fantastic day out.
